mixed feelings about the stay
unclean areas difficult lift
The location was acceptable. It offered convenient access to nearby attractions.
The cleanliness was questionable. I noticed some UNCLEAN areas that were not properly maintained. The parking situation was also problematic. The described parking was a strange lift system. It was difficult to navigate with a car.

Great Location with Comfy Rooms
friendly staff early check lovely balcony
The staff at the front desk were friendly. They helped me with an early check-in when I arrived from an early flight. My room have a balcony which was lovely. The location was excellent, near transport.
The bathroom doors were glass, the room gets very bright when someone used it at night.

The hotel is close to the shopping street. It is not far from Rossio Train station. It is easy to get a taxi with a cost about 5 or 6 euros. The airport is about 15 euros.

mixed experience with some issues
shower leak breakfast variety
the staff was nice enough.
i found several issues (and i'm not usually one to complain). the shower leaked a lot, so the floor was always wet. also, the breakfast lacked variety, and there were no fried eggs some days.

the hotel WAS in a great location for local transport options! reception staff were friendly and professional. breakfast choices were a little limited but still good, I thought. limited seating meant I had to wait for a table.
the hotel needs a rehabilitation, the building is quite old! the degradation is visible.

excellent location convenient breakfast spacious room
the location was excellent it was just off a main avenue and very safe. several bakeries nearby offered convenient breakfast options. the room was spacious and clean it had everything i needed.
the air conditioning unit was quite loud i found it a bit disruptive. it seemed like an older model. the elevators also felt slow and occasionally shaky.

the staff were attentive. i appreciated the coffee shop across the street. rossio square was a short walk. the hotel provided quiet place near the action.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues
drain smell faulty lift
I booked a room expecting a 5-star experience, but it fell short. The shower had a horrible smell coming from the drain. one of the two lifts remained out of service for the duration of my 4-day stay. The staff claimed they were waiting for parts.
